Work Out Loud: October 10-14—Come Share What You’re Working on This Week! 😌

Hi all! Hope everyone’s having a great week so far!

This Week’s Featured Tweet:

ICYMI: The 2022 Best in WebOps Awards are ALMOST here! Learn more about the awards, and save the date for when our call for nominations open up on Monday, October 17.

Now, let’s get right to it! For those of you who are new here: Work Out Loud is a weekly opportunity to share what we’re working on, who we’re meeting with, and what we’re doing in our free time. There are no rules here—share whatever you’d like!

Welcome New Members!
Welcome to our newest community members: @ScottBuscemi, @gkg.ras, @G-Rath, @sfunk3, @bela, @Kyle, and @jpentland. We’re so excited to have you here! You’re cordially invited to participate in our Work Out Loud thread, this week and every week. :grinning: Let us know where in the world you are! :world_map:

This Week, I Am…
:trophy: In addition to settling back into work after being gone for over a week, I’m spending a lot of time working on our internal and external promotional plan and messaging for the Best in WebOps Awards (reminder: submissions open next Monday)!

What I am Most Excited About…
:house: I’m excited to not be going anywhere anytime soon (except for short hiking trips around CO)! After quite a bit of traveling recently, it’s nice to be able to just relax and hang out with my dog (Finn) at home. Plus, I have a bunch of books I want to read! Currently, I’m channeling my inner queer kid and reading all of the Heartstopper graphic novels by Alice Oseman (was inspired after watching session one of the Netflix adaptation recently).

Your turn! See below for a few questions to get you started, and feel free to share as little or as much as you’d like.

  • What are you working on this week?
  • Do you have any recent big wins you want to share?
  • What are you learning and/or reading right now?
  • Is there anything our community can help you with?

This week, I’m nominating @basils, @tmRoth, @jnettik, @mitchellworks, and @adehner (but really, anyone can participate!) to share! Feel free to chime in by clicking “Reply” below, and then, nominate others. :open_hands:
