WOOHOO!!! Let’s do this!
First contribution in: https://github.com/WordPress/learn/issues/116
I didn’t know there was a training team for WordPress so I’m hoping to to continue giving back with them all through this month (and going forward).

Woot I have done some Drupal contrib today.

I participated in a documentation meeting in slack to bring me up to speed with the status of the Community Documentation migration. I will be helping with a workshop later next week and this info will come in handy.

I also added a new A11yTalks for December and started to promote it across all the medias.

I participated in that same Drupal.org documentation meeting. I will be helping D.O.'s DocsTeam migrate their contributor guide content and am looking forward to helping make it easier for folks to find ways to contribute to Drupal!

Contribution #1: Updating the Docksal boilerplate for Drupal 8. As one of the most used local development environments for Drupal, it’s important that boilerplate projects are kept up-to-date with all updates. This one is especially important because it is a security update.

Contribution #2: I fixed a couple of open issues in the Views Bootstrap module for Drupal and released 8.x-3.5. I believe this release covered the last remaining active issues for the 3.x branch of this module. I have had a lot of fun working on this module the last several months and learned quite a lot about views because of it.

Not huge, but small way of contributing to the community for those in need of quick solutions: https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/3008119#comment-13925993 (helped test a quick fix), https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/3186164#comment-13925970 (suggested a sensible core default).

I started this improvement to the Pantheon documentation a while ago, but we just finished it up and got it merged in the last few days, so I don’t know if that counts?

A very interesting issue… if you switched Drupal to Redis after the site was live, your database might be carrying around old, unused cache data.

You can see the finished page here: https://pantheon.io/docs/redis
The additions are under the Drupal install instructions in a section called “Database Cleanup”.
