Now Announcing Our November 2022 Community Champion 🥳

Pantheon’s Community Team is thrilled to share that Jared Seltzer (@Jared), Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Rad Campaign, is our Community Champion of the Month for November 2022. :trophy:

Jared, who is one of Rad Campaign’s full-stack developers and who specializes on both Drupal and WordPress development, has been selected as this month’s Community Champion for his unwavering support and commitment to helping others both on and offline. Jared can often be found in our Developer Community Slack channels answering questions and sharing resources on Drupal, WordPress, the Pantheon Platform, and other open source topics.

Two recent examples of Jared in action on our Community Slack include when he chimed in to assist Jav Hears when they were asking other users for a way to have Drupal clear cache whenever a remote event takes place and when he offered advice to Hui Lin when they were trying to create a custom block with a dropdown list box in Drupal 9.

When we asked Jared what inspired him to do the work he does today and get involved in open source, this is what he had to say:

I worked at nonprofits for years after college and saw a need for small and medium size nonprofits to have access to an affordable agency specializing in nonprofit website development, marketing, and strategy. My (then future) wife and I started Rad Campaign in 2004 to meet that need and have helped literally hundreds of orgs since.

Jared also shared what he enjoys most about being a part of our community:

Interacting with other devs, getting/giving advice, and the shared feeling we’re all in this together especially when specializing in open source software.

And when we asked Jared about his hidden superpower, he replied with:

I cannot ever leave a problem unsolved.

We’re so glad Jared’s passion for helping nonprofits deliver on their missions and problem solving in the open source space led him to web development and Pantheon! Our community wouldn’t be the same without you, Jared.

From the bottom of our heart, we thank you for all you do each and every day to make our community and the open web a better place. We’re so lucky to have you as an integral part of our community and look forward to seeing all the amazing things you’ll continue to do in the future!

Everyone, please join us in congratulating Jared!
