Pantheon’s Community Team is thrilled to share that John Picozzi (@johnpicozzi), Solution Architect at EPAM Systems, is our Community Champion of the Month for February 2023.
John, a seasoned Drupal developer and Pantheon Hero, has been selected as this month’s Community Champion for his unwavering support and commitment to helping others both on and offline. John can often be found in our Developer Community Slack answering questions and sharing resources on Drupal, Composer, Autopilot, and other Pantheon Platform and open source topics.
Two examples of John in action on our Community Slack include when he chimed in to assist Jenny Panighetti when they were asking if there’s a way to config:export a single file and when he offered advice to Ruby Sinreich when they asked the community if others were experiencing slow delivery times for emails sent from Drupal sites on Pantheon.
When we asked John what inspired him to do the work he does today and get involved in open source, this is what he had to say:
My parents were educators and volunteers, so I was exposed to the value of learning, teaching, and giving back at a young age. I honestly feel it’s our responsibility as people to give back and make the world a better place.
John also shared what he enjoys most about being a part of our community:
The sharing of ideas and the ability to help people.
We’re so glad John’s passion for giving back and knowledge sharing led him to web development and Pantheon! Our community wouldn’t be the same without you, John.
From the bottom of our heart, we thank you for all you do each and every day to make our community and the open web a better place. We’re so lucky to have you as an integral part of our community and look forward to seeing all the amazing things you’ll continue to do in the future!
Everyone, please join us in congratulating John!
