I have created a multisite based on pantheon network repo
but its not opening sites created as a subdirectory and I am seeing redirect

WordPress multisite upstreams need to be created by someone at Pantheon. Unfortunately, you cannot take a normal WordPress upstream and put a multisite into it because there are framework changes that need to be flagged when the containers are built, and that setting is not exposed to customers. You can contact support and they will create a new WordPress multisite upstream for you if you have a qualifying site plan.
